As part of our CPD targets all staff here at Activfirst have recently completed a Level 2 Cetificate in Customer Service and Self Development with Active IQ. Although it was a challenge to fit around our workloads; as a team we have found it very beneficial. So, in the spirit of #nationalcustomerserviceweek we thought we’d compile a list of the 5 most important reasons to invest in a Customer Service Qualification…Here we go!


1.Customer Service can be defined as “the assistance and advice provided by a company to those people who buy or use its products or services.” No matter what company or sector you work for it is highly likely that you or your staff will deliver customer service in some shape or form. So why not be #outstanding at it?!


2. A customer isn’t just classed as someone who comes in to an establishment to purchase goods; they can also be external trades people or a colleague from a different department. Completing a Customer Service qualification will train you to effectively communicate with internal and external customers in various forms, such as via telephone, email, face to face and in some cases through social media.


3. When in a customer service environment, sometimes you just can’t avoid stressful situations…(You know the days were everyone seems to demand their service like yesterday!) A Customer Service Qualification will teach you how to navigate difficult situations whilst remaining calm and polite under pressure. #KeepCalm it’s only #CustomerService!


4. More often than not, staff members on the ground are the only contact that an external customer has with a company. As a business owner, you never know where that next great lead/opportunity will come from; so why not improve your teams’ understanding and delivery of exceptional customer service?



5.
